The 2027 Atlas Cross Sport is the all-new, two-row companion to Volkswagen’s three-row Atlas — same bold new design language, same 282-horsepower turbocharged engine and 8-speed automatic, but with a sleeker roofline and a focus on five-passenger space rather than a third row. If you want the presence and capability of a midsize SUV without seats you rarely use, this is the Atlas for you.
Every Cross Sport pairs a 2.0-liter turbo (282 hp, 258 lb-ft) with available 4MOTION all-wheel drive on every trim, up to 5,000 pounds of towing with the tow package, and VW’s latest cabin technology — a standard 10.25-inch Digital Cockpit Pro and a touchscreen that grows to 15 inches on most of the lineup.
Volkswagen revealed the 2027 Cross Sport in August 2026, with sales beginning in early 2027. Full pricing, EPA fuel-economy ratings, and cargo figures will be published closer to launch — this page will be updated the moment VW releases them.
